What is Leadpages? A Quick Overview
Leadpages is an online tool designed to help you generate leads with the traffic you work so hard to get.
Their main attraction is the landing page builder. Does it suck? No. Quite the opposite, actually. Out of the 10 landing page builders we like here, the Leadpages builder is arguably the easiest to use.
And it has a great user interface! You drag and you drop and you edit your content in real time.
Why Digital Marketers Love Leadpages SO MUCH:
These are just bits and pieces.
Let's go in-depth!
WHY YOU WILL LOVE LEADPAGES
The Quick Start
One of the best things about Leadpages is that they get you started as soon as you finish signing up for an account. And right now, you can get in for FREE.
The first thing you do is your create a subdomain where you will publish all your landing pages, optin forms, etc.

Then you have a choice to build a landing page, popup optin form, an alert bar, or even an entire website.

Whatever you decide you create, Leadpages makes it easy for you by providing you with a wide range of templates and a frontend drag and drop editor. We'll dive into both of them below.
The Templates
Leadpages has a vast collection of high quality templates. Each template is about 90% done for you. Meaning, most of the work you will do is text based. That is how great they are at designing user friendly templates.
Here's an example:
Hit the play button for me.
Imagine your lead magnet or ebook is an ultimate guide. If you chose the template above, most of the work would already be done for you. All you'd have to do is add some copy here, edit some text there. An image here, an image there.
Some of these templates can even be up to 95% done for you!
Here's what I mean...
Leadpages has a bunch of templates that are specific to a niche or industry. For example, yoga.
Imagine you have a blog where you're offering a beginner's guide to yoga.

All you would need to build a high-quality landing page using the template pointed to in the image above is 5-10 minutes of work.
And boom!
You have a landing page that is ready to capture leads.
This goes for all of their templates. And there are hundreds of them.
What about thank you and download pages, you ask?
They've got you covered.
One of the most important things a landing page tool like Leadpages must offer is to provide you with templates for every part of your lead generation funnel.
Thank you or download pages, confirmation pages, etc.

Leadpages has many!
This landing page platform can also be used to create other types of pages. It's not restricted to just lead generation.
Leadpages can help you build your own sales funnel. If you're thinking about creating your own product, or maybe you already have one, this tool can help you create sales pages, checkout pages, upsell pages, coupon pages, and more!

The Drag and Drop Builder
One of the best things about Leadpages is their frontend editor. It offers everything you look for in a drag and drop builder—a sleek interface that's user-friendly, plenty of design elements that'll make your content look like it was done by a professional, and full control over what your audience sees.
One of the reasons this editor is so great is it breaks up the editable elements into tabs and sections.
For example, the "hero" section. This is the tippy-top of a Leadpages landing page.

And then here is the footer section, which is the bottom of a page.

And then here is the footer section, which is the bottom of a page.
The sidebar you see on the left side of the editor is your main navigation where all your design elements and features are located. You will be able to add elements and images, edit backgrounds, set margins and paddings, align your content, and a whole bunch of other neat things.
The text, on the other hand, is done on the main area.

Another thing that makes Leadpages so great is they provide you with templates for special design elements.
The SECTIONS tab in the sidebar has many ready-to-go elements that will make building out your landing page a lot faster and easier.

There are 12 categories which include the previously mentioned HERO section which is the top section of a landing page, a call-to-action section where there's a button and some copy to generate leads, and then there's plans/pricing, FAQs, testimonials, and features/services if you are selling or promoting something.
The Leadpages builder also features more than a dozen widgets, which are the elements you are able to drag and drop anywhere on your page.

Including the 8 widgets shown in the screenshot above, there are 18 in total. The widgets not shown above are:
Each of these elements can be used anywhere you'd like.
The STYLES tab allows you to setup your page's fonts, background, and width. It also gives you the option to add a favicon and custom CSS.
The SETTINGS tab gives you the control over what your landing page would look like in search and on social media. You'd be able to edit your title, description, and add an image for your social media posts.
You can also add your Google Analytics tracking ID so you gather up your own traffic data.
The Split Testing
The ability to perform A/B testing is one of the most important things to generate leads. It allows us to find what works and what doesn't so we can convert as many visitors into leads. You can either test entire pages or perhaps something smaller like different variations of the page's headline or an image.
If a lead generation tool doesn't come with its own version of a split testing tool, it would have a very tough time competing with those that do. Leadpages, however, has a pretty sweet A/B testing program.
Running a test is broken up into 4 steps,

When your A/B test is running, you will be able to track the visits and conversions to both pages.

And when you think you've got a winner, you can pick the page you want to keep.
The Integrations
Leadpages integrates with just about every online tool you can think of.
First, there's the most important ones. The email marketing tools where you can interact with and nurture your leads. Some of these types of integrations Leadpages has include:
Here's a screenshot of the main email integrations:

But there's even more.
Leadpages uses Zapier to add dozens of integrations. This includes more email marketing software, sales tools, online course platforms like Thinkific, coaching tools like Coach Catalyst, even Gmail.
You can even request new integrations if there's a specific tool you'd like to use with Leadpages.
The Little Things
Leadpages does a lot of little things that make you love the tool.
LEAD MAGNETS
One of the best features is that you can create lead magnets and send "autoresponder" emails to your newly acquired subscribers right from the Leadpages platform.
It partners with a tool called Attract.io, which is powered by Growth Tools (formerly VideoFruit). It's free to use and you can create as many lead magnets as you'd like.
Attract.io focuses on 4 of the main types of lead magnets: resource guides, checklists, case studies, and how-to guides. And it provides an editor with a few templates.
When someone opts in to become a subscriber, Leadpages will automatically send them an email (that you create) with a link to your lead magnet.

SUB-ACCOUNTS
If you run a team or plan on hiring freelancers or virtual assistants, having them under your plan will go a long way in saving funds.
Sub-accounts are only for users in the Advanced plan and it allows up to 5 Pro accounts, which is their most popular plan.
USE ON MULTIPLE SITES
If you run more than one site, you're in luck. Leadpages' Pro plan allows you to connect it with 3 websites. Their Advanced plan allows up to 50.
PUBLISH PAGES AND FORMS ON WORDPRESS
If you run your sites with WordPress, which is highly likely, you will be able to connect your Leadpages account via plugin and can publish your Leadpages content from there.
ONE-CLICK SIGNUPS
Leadpages has what they call "trigger links" where people would click and be automatically opted into your mailing list or webinars. This feature will undoubtedly come in handy.
SET UP YOUR BRAND'S COLORS
Anybody that has designed something online like graphics, logos, homepages, etc. knows that having your colors at the ready is a timesaver. Not only that, but it also doesn't negatively affect your "groove" when working. Instead of having to keep copy and pasting your color code numbers every time you need them, you can have them handy at a click of a button.
BUILD A WEBSITE
Leadpages offers a website builder that users their drag and drop editor. They host it on their servers and you can either use a subdomain or get your own.
Leadpages Review - A Final Word
Leadpages is a great resource for any blogger or marketer who wants to turn their visitors into leads. The landing page builder and the optin forms will help you boost conversions.
It is one of the best tools and one of the best choices for landing pages!
